PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTS

Our psychologists perform various tests for various needs of the referred clients. These referrals requests are coming from paediatricians and other referring specialist doctors, GPs for various needs such as to make assessments of developmental issues and milestones, complete the application process for disability pension scheme and various other needs.

Our psychologists perform tests for Personality assessments such as Myer-Briggs Type Indicator, Personality Assessment Inventory, and MMPI, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD) assessments, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – II (ADOS-II), cognitive assessments for children and adults, and academic achievement tests for children and adolescents. These tests are performed by either general or clinical psychologists who have undergone certified training.

Various neuro-psychological tests such as  Behavioural and Psychological Assessment of Dementia [BPAD], Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function – Children,   Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function – Adult Version (BRIEF-A) are usually performed by clinical psychologists.

At Mind Connections we offer a range of child and adult psychological, cognitive and personality assessments that can help guide the provision of targeted interventions and complement our existing services to improve overall patient outcomes.

Fees and Tests

Cognitive IQ test

  • WISC-V & WAIS IV – child, adolescent & adult cognitive assessments to measure learning potential, aid in identifying potential learning disorders or cognitive deficits after injury.  Cost is $1000 2 x sessions with a Psychologist + 1 x written report with recommendations.
  • Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF) and BRIEF-A (Adults) – Assess executive function behaviours in the school and home environments with the BRIEF, a questionnaire developed for parents and teachers of school-age children. Designed to assess the abilities of a broad range of children and adolescents, the BRIEF is useful when working with children who have learning disabilities and attention disorders, traumatic brain injuries, lead exposure, pervasive developmental disorders, depression, and other developmental, neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions. BRIEF and BRIEF-A Cost, $650, Includes 1 x session with a Psychologist + 1 x written report.

Behavioural (Child & Adolescent)

  • Conners 3 & Conners Comprehensive Behavioural Rating Scales (CBRS) – Conners 3 provides a diagnostic measure of signs and symptoms that may be associated with a DSM-V diagnosis of ADHD in young people. Conners CBRS scales measure a range of behaviours, emotions, academic and social problems in children aged 6-18 years old, that may assist in the diagnostic process, and the development of intervention plans. It may also be used to support a child in their learning and development. Cost $650.00 Includes 1 x feedback session with a Psychologist (if you are a new patient, an additional session before assessment will be required) and 1x Written report.
  • Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (ASRS) – For children aged 2-18 years old. A measure to identify symptoms, behaviours and associated features of autism spectrum disorder. It should be used in combination with other assessments and ideally in consultation with the child’s school. Cost $650.00 Includes 1 x feedback session with a Psychologist (if you are a new patient, an additional session before assessment will be required) and 1x Written report

 

Personality

  • Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) – An objective assessment of adult personality. It can provide information relevant for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning and screening for psychopathology. Cost $650.00 Includes 1 x feedback session with a Psychologist 1x written report

Practice will purchase whatever the standard test kits reared for your situation.  Fees are variable depending on the test and the report and the time needed for clinician spend with you and the report.
